Platoon (Oliver Stone – 1986) B+

It’s a good film told from the point of view of a foot soldier as we follow him through his tour of duty in Vietnam. Stone does a great job oscillating between boredom, war crimes, treason and straight up bloody battles. It is well shot (especially the gritty confusing battles), well written and performances are good but overall and for some reason it did not strike a chord with me.
