The Avengers (Joss Whedon – 2012) A-

It’s really quiet an achievement that Marvel managed to pull off this long-term project. The film deserves props for at least creating a Hulk that is interesting compared the previous two incarnations. The green beast and his alter ego played by Mark Ruffalo steal almost every scene they are in. Whedon’s quirky fun style also comes through well and works great in a film that does not take itself too seriously. It looks great with coherent well-constructed action scenes and super heroes with distinct character. We had a blast watching it.
