Not sure why Hugh Fearnley Whittingstal calls this a gelato. To me is seems more like a sorbet. Either way it is so easy and so good that if you have an ice cream machine, you should give it a shot. It contains three ingredients. 2 lb strawberries, 2 cups confectioner (powdered) sugar and a few tablespoons of lemon juice. I added a couple of tablespoons of vodka in there just to help the mixture not freeze to a solid block. That’s all. I was skeptical, but it really made the most luscious strawberry sorbet with almost no effort.
